I chose light colourful costume pieces such as the scarf, bag, shirt and trainers because it related to the casual colourful chill music audience, who usually have casual but patterned styles which tend to look more colourful than other genres such as rock or country. I chose a long black coat to add a unique look because chill music itself is very unique and different compared to other styles of music (I was also inspired for this idea as Rachel was wearing a long black coat on the casting photo-shoot day). The coat will also contrast very well with the colours to emphasize them.
The use of a coat, bag and scarf is to enforce the idea that the character in my music video is on a journey and if someone is going on a journey a person would require objects to keep warm and the bag to carry necessary objects.
