Casting

I mainly chose to cast two people for my music video by getting them to sign a participant release form which would then allow me to take some test photographs of them in different poses. I chose to cast only females not only because the audience of chill out music is predominantly female but also to add to the more stereotypical delicate aesthetic which chill out is usually associated with.


Firstly I photographed Ruby who worked well with the camera and was ready to follow
 directions. She was also humorous which was helpful to have an actor who would be easy to get along.

I also photographed Rachel for casting who was very confident doing different poses whilst in the photo shoot and with some of the photographs she had the sort of expressions and costuming which I think would work well for my music video. Such as the expression of awe and looking deeply off into the distance which linked with the deeper and calm chill out music genre.
